How on earth do you teach children to GIVE when they GET so much at Christmas and other occasions?
Christmas is a great opportunity to teach children how to give, and here’s how you do it:
- Before Christmas, go through all their toys with them and box up what they no longer play with to give to other children.
- During Christmas put away all the toys they may not remember getting for a future date when they’re bored. This way they won’t be surrounded by a mountain of toys which isn’t necessary.
- When you bring out the new toys, ask them which ones they may be willing to give away, the ones that they’re maybe not that excited by.
- Refer to my Toy Rotation System which is also a great idea to get in place before Christmas.
