A Parenting Coach is someone with knowledge and experience with children from the perspective of the parent; not the teacher, not the doctor, not the psychologist.
Parenting is a very unique role. It can’t be compared to anything else in life as it’s so all-consuming. Everything your kids say and do are a reflection of you. You take parenting very personally and it’s my role to help you navigate through parenting with as much clarity, confidence and joy as possible.
As much as I loved working with little ones, I found I could make the most difference with troubled teens. I was armed with a very distinct set of rules and expectations. My methods are based on respect and humour. I use these methods as a basis for my company, BRATBUSTERS PARENTING SERVICES INC.
I was a Parent Aide with Social Services in Australia which is a government service provided to families struggling to cope with the responsibilities and demands of having a newborn. I was also a Learning Assistance Program Tutor for Grades 8-12 and have been involved with children in many organizations, hospitals and schools in both Australia and Canada.
Of all the work I have done with babies, children and teenagers throughout the years, I have received the most fulfillment and happiness through raising my own two children.
Parenting is the hardest job in the world but it is also the most joyful and rewarding. ™
